WHAT IS CONTEMPLATIONS?
Have you ever wanted your creative work to be shared with hundreds? Maybe thousands? For students at Shorewood Intermediate School, Contemplations offers them that opportunity! Student editors judge submissions, then post the poetic, fictional, non-fictional and artistic works their peers submit for publication.
WHY DOES CONTEMPLATIONS EXIST?
The students at SIS are very talented. We want to give them the opportunity to express their ideas and opinions in a creative way, then share their originality and hard work with their families and friends. Contemplations gives the students at SIS the chance to show off some of their talents that their peers may be unaware of!
WHY A WEBSITE?
In the past, Contemplations was a printed publication, put out yearly by the editors. We wanted a way to get students’ work out to friends and family more frequently, though, so this school year (2006-2007) we decided to try our hand at a more technological approach! Hopefully, we will be able to update this site every couple of months so families and friends can view different works, throughout the year.

All rights to the work on this site belong to the student authors/artists; they are not available for copy. Once a piece is submitted, the author/artist has given his/her permission for the piece to be posted on this site.
The views and opinions expressed in the works on this site are those of the student writers and artists and not necessarily those of Shorewood Intermediate School or the Shorewood School District.
Submissions are judged based on their quality and appropriateness for the school setting.
Editor photos and bios are posted only with parent/guardian permission.
